Nature Is My Muse

I've known this for years. Stuck writing a scene? Go for a walk in the woods and I'm pretty much guaranteed a viable solution to the narrative problem by the time I get back to the trailhead. So it was with particular interest that when I came upon the bent-branch chair at the Carl Sandburg home in western North Carolina, I had to give it a try. Situated in the woods, with a great view out over the Appalachians, it didn't disappoint. Where do you go when in need of inspiration?
